Our three Junior reps have got off to a great start against Wales in the first game of the day at the Junior Internationals in Elgin.  Ireland beat Wales by 13 shots and go in to this afternoon’s games against Scotland full of confidence.  Robert Kirkwood’s rink led by Sam Barkley won by 20 shots, whilst Stephen’s rink were not just so fortunate.  Overall as a team Ireland were full of confidence having been 29 shots up Wales pulled it back to 4 but Ireland stretched it out again to win by 13 overall.

The club would just like to wish our three Junior International players every success as they travel to Elgin, Scotland next weekend (9th – 11th September) to compete in the BIBC Junior International Series.  Both Stephen Kirwood and Sam Barkley will receive their first Junior Irish Caps next Saturday (ironically Stephen has already played two series as a Senior International player) and the club was delighted to present Sam with his green blazer last week.  All the best guys for the upcoming series.

Congratulation to the Old Bleach B team who won the PGL Junior League Cup on Thursday 21st August.  Playing Dunbarton at Ballymena Bowling Club the B team got off to a flying start and comfortably held the lead throughout the game.

On behalf of Old Bleach can we thank everyone who came along to our Sunday Tournament last weekend to make it such a success and can we congratulate the successful Coleraine rink who won a hard fought battle in the final to come out as the overall winners.  We hope to see you all next year!
