With Neil Booth retiring from association and international duties after what seems a lifetime in bowls at the end of last season; and with James Talbot also announcing his retirement at the start of this season it has fallen to the younger generation to represent Old Bleach at the upper levels of Irish Bowls.  We are delighted that both Robert and Stephen Kirkwood have been selected by the NIPGL to represent the association on the Senior PGL team.  With Robert already an Under 25 International player and with Stephen heading off to represent Northern Ireland at the Youth Commonwealth Games in Samoa we are confident that they both have a bright future ahead of them.  The Under 25’s trial will be held on June 11th in order to select a PGL team for the Junior Inter-Association Championships and with Sam Barkley, Andrew Booth, Adam Chesney and Jordan Millar also waiting in the wings we are confident that Old Bleach can look forward to even more representation both at Association and International level.
