Guess who?  A belated Happy Birthday to Billy Scott from everyone at the club!

Just a quick note to announce that the Annual General Meeting will take place on Wednesday 21st October 2015 at 7.30pm.  The Secretary will forward details of the agenda in due course. This year marks the end of the Committee’s three year term and the entire committee will be up for re-election.  We would ask that all members make the effort to get involved in club administration and if you have an interest on serving on the committee we would very much like to hear from you.  There will be a sheet on the notice board asking for names for anyone who would show an interest to serve on committee.  Of course all vacanies will have to be filled through the normal process of being proposed, seconded and voted on by the meeting but it would give the meeting an idea of those who are willing to put themselves forward.  Thank you.

Congratulations to Robert Kirkwood who was selected again to represent Ireland in the Junior International Series played at Oxford Bowling Club this weekend.  Despite the team going down to three narrow defeats against Wales, Scotland and England, Robert’s rink – consisting of Dean Mills (Pickie), Jack Moffett (Dunbarton) and Ryan Bell (Mossley) came away with 2 wins out of 3.

Congratulations to our very own Stephen Kirkwood who set off to Samoa along with Chloe Watson from Pickie Bowling Club two weeks ago and is on his way back home today with a Bronze medal after a win over his Malaysian opposition in the play-off.  WELL PLAYED STEPHEN!!!
